Café Flamenco marks the fourth collaboration between SAMA winner and internationally acclaimed guitarist James Grace and Carli Olivier, choreographer and principal dancer of South Africa’s leading Spanish dance company, Compañía Sophia.
Featuring the full ensemble of eight Spanish dancers from Compañía Sophia, Café Flamenco unites expressive guitar works with dynamic choreography, presenting a vibrant homage to Spanish culture. The production is anchored by Grace’s renowned Spanish repertoire and enhanced by Olivier’s choreography, highlighting the dramatic rhythms, sophistication and emotional richness inherent to flamenco and Spanish dance.
