South Africa welcomes Pianissimo Festival — series of piano concerts by some of the worlds most promising young pianist!
On October 31st will hold our debut in Pretoria it will be beginning of the part of Pianissimo Festival in South Africa which will include in future Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban!
These unmissable performances are part of the Pianissimo Festival that take place several times yearly at unusual venues worldwide.
The idea behind the Pianissimo Festival, launched in 2017 in Saint Petersburg, is to introduce the younger generation of musicians to listeners in spaces new for academic music. Pianissimo concerts is hosting young virtuosos and laureates of prestigious competitions perform on the world’s top stages, from Milan’s Teatro alla Scala to Carnegie Hall in New York.
The Festival seeks to create synergy between different art forms, selecting concert halls where music can join with painting, architecture, and natural landscapes. Aside from the Pianissimo Festival’s traditional venues—the Large Italian Skylight Room of the New Hermitage, GES-2 House of Culture, and the Packhouses of the Nizhny Novgorod Strelka—pianists have also performed at the Kulm Hotel in St. Moritz, and the Copacabana Palace in Rio de Janeiro.
For the first concert we will choose to invite Konstantin Emelyanov — graduated from the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory. He trained at the Rachmaninov Academy in Catania, Sicily, under the tutelage of Professor Epifanio Comis, and undertook a postgraduate-assistantship study at the Moscow Conservatory (class of Sergei Dorensky and Nikolai Lugansky). Prize-winner at the All-Russian Music Competition in Moscow (1st Prize). Konstantin has given concerts at the Teatro Carlo Felice (Genoa), the Seoul Arts Center, Beijing’s National Centre for the Performing Arts, the Zentrum Paul Klee (Bern), the Concert Hall of the Mariinsky Theatre.
