Two of South African music’s most respected artists (re)unite on one stage for a rare and intimate live collaboration when Arno Carstens and Albert Frost bring Summer Rain to Atterbury Theatre on Thursday 26 March.

Friends and musical collaborators for over 30 years, Carstens and Frost share a deep creative history. Frost was principal guitarist and co-writer on two key Arno Carstens albums — Another Universe and The Hello Goodbye Boys — a period that produced a string of memorable live performances and cemented their shared musical language.

Summer Rain is a carefully curated double-header performance featuring solo sets from both artists, as well as special collaborative moments that revisit past favourites and celebrate their long-standing musical bond. It’s an evening shaped by storytelling, shared history, and the unmistakable chemistry between two masters of their craft.

Arno Carstens, frontman of the Springbok Nude Girls and an acclaimed solo artist, and Albert Frost, a cornerstone of the South African blues-rock scene and longtime Blues Broers member, need little introduction. Both have played to sold-out venues nationwide, and this bespoke, curated performance promises something genuinely special.
